Dressing Abroad
As we have already discussed, as an American studying abroad it is important to leave a good impression on the people we encounter, this includes not only having a positive attitude but also dressing appropriately. Certain behaviors like talking loudly, or speaking ill of the country we are in are certain things to avoid when trying to leave a good impression. Certain clothing such as yoga pants, t-shirts that pertain to American stereotypes, or revealing clothes are a few things to avoid when dressing to leave a good impression of not only yourself but the group as a whole.

Thinking about our courses
Hello all!
In thinking about/preparing for the course we will be taking, one of the biggest questions I have is how will this knowledge relate to what I already know about Germany/Europe. Being a History major I have studied many different aspects of European history and culture, but it will be interesting to me to see how the course material correlates to what I already know. I'm also excited to see how the course will challenge and enhance my foundation on European history.

Getting Ready
Hello Everyone!
My name is Lauren Williams (I'm sure most of you know that by now, but as I myself am terrible with names some of you might have forgotten), I am a Sophomore studying U.S History. The purpose of this post is to share with you all how I am preparing for the trip. One of the most difficult things for most people will be cutting down their suitcase to only one week worth of clothing and belongings, however, given that out of my entire wardrobe I probably wear the same 5 things over and over again I don't think packing will be an issue for me (hopefully). For me the hardest part about preparing myself for the trip will be making sure I am budgeting myself enough now so that I have plenty of money while in Europe. Also I have this irrational fear that when I leave my dog will think that I abandoned her, and that by the time I get back she either won't remember me or hold a grudge hat I left her for so long.
